Senior Occupational Toxicologist
Flexible with the option to work remotely from home
Yes – less than 5%
Research and preparation of occupational hazard classification reports for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
Research, development, and preparation of written occupational exposure limits (OELs) and acceptable daily exposure (ADE) values for APIs.
Prepare written justification reports on genotoxic impurities, residual solvents, and foreign contaminants.
Provide hazard and risk communication training as necessary to clients.
Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmacology, or Toxicology or related field with 5+ year’s related work experience. Strong science background required from areas such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, or pharmacology.
Occupational toxicology experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Ability to work independently from a remote location.
Experience working with computerized chemical and toxicology databases.
Must be able to assemble and analyze complex data sets and prepare summary information in a manner that can be understood by non-scientific personnel.
Excellent presentation skills both in-person and online.
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, including the ability to create complex tables, graphs, and assemble single Acrobat documents from multiple file types.
Some early morning, evening and weekend work may be required based on client needs.
Diplomat American Board of Toxicology (DABT) required.
