Affygility Solutions, an occupational toxicology and safety consulting firm for the life sciences industry, announced today that James Damewood, Ph.D., DABT (Jim), a toxicology professional with over 30 years experience, has joined the company as a Senior Director of Occupational Toxicology and Industrial Hygiene. Dr. Damewood will provide toxicology consulting services to Affygility Solutions’ rapidly growing list of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device clients.

Prior to joining Affygility Solutions, Jim was a Research Manager, Principal Research Toxicologist for Corteva Agriscience™, Agricultural Division of DowDuPont™. Additional prior work includes positions at E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co., AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, and the University of Delaware.

Jim has published nearly 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles in prominent journals such as the Journal of the American Chemical Society, Tetrahedron, the Journal of Physical Chemistry and many others.

Dr. Damewood is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT) and received a Ph.D. and MA in Chemistry from Princeton University, and his BA in Chemistry from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County.
