Butafosfan (also known as butaphosphan) is a phosphororganic supplement that is given, most commonly with cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), to cattle, swine, horses, poultry, dogs and cats for the prevention or treatment of phosphorus deficiencies. It is also used as supportive treatment for metabolic or reproductive disorders, when supplementation of phosphorous and vitamin B12 is needed.
