Please note, this OEL/ADE monograph also applies to 3,4-Dichloroaniline (CAS RN 95-76-1), 2,6-Dichloroaniline (CAS RN 608-31-1), 2,5-Dichloroaniline (CAS RN 95-82-9), 2,4-Dichloroaniline (CAS RN 554-00-7), 2,3-Dichloroaniline (CAS RN 608-27-5), and 3,5-Dichloroaniline (CAS RN 626-43-7). Dichloroanilines (DCAs) are used as intermediates in the production of pesticides, drugs, dyes (including azo dyes), and antimicrobials. Limited hazard information is available for the individual DCA isomers. The majority of available data are for the 3,4-DCA and 2,3-DCA isomers and some isomers have little or no data. Due to the functional group structural similarity including two chlorine and one amino group attached directly to the benzene ring, similarity of the physicochemical properties including melting point, boiling point, and log Kow, and similarity in most toxicologically relevant human health effects, where available, including acute toxicity, repeat-dose toxicity, and genotoxicity.
Affygility Solutions has an occupational exposure limit (OEL) and control band assignment for this active pharmaceutical ingredient (API). This monograph also contains the acceptable daily exposure (ADE) value.
OEL Fastrac monographs are a cost-effective and convenient way to meet the requirements for PDEs (ADEs) contained in the EMA Guideline on setting health based exposure limits for use in risk identification in the manufacture of different medicinal products in shared facilities (EMA/CHMP/CVMP/SWP/169430/2012), as well as PIC/S and ANVISA requirements, and to obtain the following information:

Not the compound you were looking for? You can search the OEL Fastrac catalog to find more available compounds.
Affygility Solutions’ OEL Fastrac service is an user-friendly system that enables us to make confident decisions and focus on moving the compound safely through our facility. We can quickly access the database to determine if a new drug is within the OEL Fastrac library, and if so, immediately download a detailed OEL banding report. The OEL Fastrac system has been a helpful tool in our overall EH&S program.
