Dihydralazine functions as a vasodilator with comparable actions and applications to hydralazine, both being structurally similar vasodilator medications that have been employed in the treatment of hypertension during pregnancy for more than four decades. Hydralazine is an antihypertensive agent used for the management of essential hypertension or severe hypertension associated with conditions requiring immediate action, heart failure, and preeclampsia or eclampsia.
