Diroximel fumarate is an oral fumarate indicated for the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS), including clinically isolated syndrome, relapsing-remitting disease, and active secondary progressive disease, in adults. Diroximel fumarate has demonstrated bioequivalence to dimethyl fumarate (DMF) since its levels of the active metabolite, monomethyl fumarate, are equivalent. It was developed to provide similar clinical benefits to DMF but with an improved gastrointestinal (GI) tolerability profile.
