Enoxaparin is indicated for prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) (blood clots) during surgery, in patient treatment of DVT with or without blood clots in the lungs, outpatient treatment of acute DVT without blood clots in the lung, prevention of a loss of blood supply and clots in the heart, and treatment of acute lack of blood to the heart muscle.
