Infliximab is a monoclonal antitumor necrosis factor alpha (anti-TNF-α) antibody used in the treatment of a wide variety of inflammatory conditions such as moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis (in combination with methotrexate), moderate to severe Crohn's disease (CD) (with an inadequate response to conventional therapy), and ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Infliximab is also indicated for the treatments of fistulizing CD, chronic severe plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and in patients with an inadequate response to conventional therapy for moderate to severe ulcerative colitis.
