Inosine pranobex, also known as inosine acedoben dimepranol, is a combination of inosine, acetamidobenzoic acid, and dimethylaminoisopropanol indicated for use as an antiviral drug. Inosine pranobex is also indicated for mucocutaneous infections due to herpes simplex virus (type 1 and type II) and for treatment of genital warts as adjunctive therapy to podophyllin or carbon dioxide laser. It has also been used in the treatment of subacute sclerosing panencephalitis, a complication of measles.
