Inositol niacinate, also known as inositol nicotinate and inositol hexaniacinate/hexaniacinate or "no-flush niacin", is a niacin ester and vasodilator. Inositol niacinate is a source of niacin found in dietary supplements that contains no free niacin but can be hydrolyzed to release free niacin in vivo. Inositol niacinate is prescribed as a symptomatic treatment for severe intermittent claudication (pain in the legs while walking) and Raynaud’s phenomenon (fingers and toes which go white and bloodless in the cold). It has been investigated for potential beneficial effects on serum lipids.
