Insulin icodec is a peptide an ultra-long-acting basal insulin analogue. Insulin icodec is indicated as an adjunct or not to diet and exercise and other medications for the onceweekly treatment of adults with diabetes mellitus in order to improve glycemic control. Insulin icodec is also indicated in combination with semaglutide for the treatment of adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus insufficiently controlled on basal insulin or glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists as an adjunct to diet and exercise in addition to oral antidiabetic medicinal products.
