Ixazomib is indicated for the treatment of multiple myeloma in combination with lenalidomide and dexamethasone. Ixazomib is a protease inhibitor that inhibits chymotrypsin activity. It induced apoptosis in multiple myeloma cells in vitro and antitumor activity in a mouse myeloma tumor xenograft model.
