Standardized Myrtol® is an herbal medical product obtained by a multistep distillation procedure from essential oils of eucalyptus, sweet orange, myrtle and lemon (66/32/1/1). The major biological substances of in vivo and in vitro activity of standardized Myrtol® are the monoterpenes d-limonene, 1,8-cineole, and alpha-pinene. Myrtol® is recommended to reduces the risk of acute exacerbations from acute and chronic bronchitis when used in conjunction with professionally-supervised conventional treatment.
