Naphtha (petroleum), light aromatic, also known as high flash aromatic naphtha (HFAN), is a complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained from distillation of aromatic streams. It consists predominantly of aromatic hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C8 through C10 and a low boiling point. Naphtha is used as a solvent in making varnish, adhesives, coatings, and many other chemicals.
