Please note, this OEL/ADE monograph also applies to nitroxinil meglumate (CAS RN 10532-59-9). Nitroxinil is a fasciolicide which is effective against Fasciola hepatica infestations and has some activity against gastrointestinal (GI) nematodes such as Haemonchus contortus. Nitroxinil is also administered to game birds (pheasants and red-legged partridge poults), in the drinking water, for the treatment of syngamiasis.
