Oxaprozin is a long-acting nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) derivative of oxazole-propionic acid with anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties. It is commonly used to relieve the pain and inflammatory responses associated with chronic arthritis (including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis) and dysmenorrhea, and to alleviate moderate pain.
