Permethrin is an insecticide/parasiticide/pesticide used to treat lice infestation and scabies and is used in household and agricultural products. Permethrin is a sodium ion channel blocker that delays repolarization of the membrane in insects. The delay in repolarization and paralysis are the consequences of this disruption.
