Prednicarbate is a synthetic nonhalogenated double-ester derivative of the corticosteroid prednisolone with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties. It is indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of acute and chronic corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, such as atopic dermatitis.
