Sennoside is an anthranoid chemically described as an anthraquinone glycoside found in the senna plant (Senna alexandrina, also known as Cassia angustifolia), and usually referred to the diastereoisomeric mixture of sennosides A and B. Anthranoid derivatives are used all over the world as a treatment for constipation.
