Travoprost is a synthetic lipophilic isopropyl ester prodrug of the active compound travoprost free acid, a prostaglandin F2α analog with antiglaucoma activity. Travoprost is indicated for the reduction of intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
