Zofenopril, an angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate essential hypertension. It is also indicated for the treatment initiated within the first 24 hours of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) with or without signs and symptoms of heart failure, who are hemodynamically stable and have not received thrombolytic therapy. Zofenopril calcium is the administered salt form of zofenopril.
